a few nights ago, i was sitting on the couch with randi, and the fan started to slow down almost to the point of stopping. so i yelled at it "hey! knock it off! turn back on right now!" and it did. we both laughed. i showed that fan who the real boss is.
and today, this one girl came in and was going to buy $100.97 worth of books. i started to tell her about the prefered reader program, but she was kinda hesitant about getting one because she was going to go to japan for a few months, so i told her that she could buy it now, and leave it with a friend or something because the car wouldn't affect her total much (if at all). she was a little hesitant still, but i eventually convinced her to buy one. so i rang it up, and then i hit the total key, and guess what happened. her total came down to $90.87! what the fuck? apparently, by buying the PR card, her total went up to $110.97, but it removed 10% off of that and some how we got $90.87! i don't know how the math works, but she was happy as a pig in shit. pretty cool stuff, huh? i don't think i'll ever forget this magical PR.
