it's funny. a few days ago, julie came to work wearing a button down collared shirt and slacks with black dressy shoes. all i could think of was "you're way to over dressed for this job." today, she came in wearing nearly the same thing and all i could think of was "girl, we need to get you some color."
and judah, he was wearing brown slacks and a white polo shirt with three or four or five or ten (i don't really know, i just think it'd be gayer if i knew number of stripes) colored stripes going across the chest. the problem with his git-up was that he had the shrit tucked in so everyone kinda looked at it as if he were dressed up manegerial wise. i took one look at it and told judah "un-tuck the shirt." he did and he was fine. he didn't have that greater-than-thou look to him. i'm just one great big flaming closet hetero.
my speech class got canceled today, so i went to kahala mall to do some errands. well, not so much errands, but more look at stuff to buy. i ended up in pac sun (suprise suprise) and i bought myself a pair of shorts of $10 and i even got a present for randi. yay! all i need to do is fucking send that shit now though. plus, i need to figure out what books to send her from the store. she's so lucky she has me. especially since i work in a bookstore. i think that's my leverage on other ryans. we're all pretty much the same, but i work in a bookstore. so long as none of the others do, i'll be set.
and today, while we were closing the store, i became a total geek. i put in the Top Gun soundtrack. we listened to Danger Zone like three times in a row. and Jimmy, it turns out, is an even bigger Top Gun geek than me, and possibly even brett. whoa!
oooh! 2 Fast 2 Furious and Scarface are out on DVD today! score! time to go raid the cheking account...
oh, yeah. and i took a thirty minute break today at work. i felt overworked, so i think it was fair compensation. how do i know it was thrity minutes? well, i took a break with three separate people. heh... go me. free lunch break kinda.
ooh, and a week or two ago, this guy had all these coupons for 10% any one item in the store per transaction. so i rang him up for like 10 things in a row. apparently home office watches for those stupid things, so they told Les to ask me about it. they were wondering if i was giving away discounts on the same PR card. i wouldn't have remembered the ordeal if it wasn't for the fact that the guy was buying tons of porn with it. yeah... good stuff.
oh, and randi's dad came in today. so i was talking to him for a few minutes. it made me miss randi more.
