i only wish i were a longhorns fan.
i mean, i'm freakin' happy as a pig in shit that Texas beat SC, but man, imagine if i were a Texas fan to begin with! Miami doesn't seem like it's going in the right direction, and they're one of my BCS schools. i probably associate myself most with the 'Canes as my favorite BCS school, but they're also my ACC school. for the SEC i'd say it's 'Bama right now. There's love for Tennessee too, but i read "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer" and i grew to like the history of 'Bama... or i really liked the book at least. Big Ten, i like Penn State 'cause Joe Pa has to be one of the coolest old guys alive, and Iowa too because Bob Sanders is wicked awesome (except in pass coverage--he doesn't always rotate to cover after the corner releases. and he'll also miss tackles sometimes too going for the big hit). But i also like Ohio State because they really looked like a good team in defeating Notre Dame. Teddy Ginn Jr. is amazing by the way. Hmm... Pac-10 it's a toss up between Cal and UCLA (i'm lean more to UCLA). and in independents i like Notre Dame. but if i had to rank them, i guess i'd go (since Hawaii is #1 w/o needing to be said): 1)Miami, 2)Notre Dame, 3) Alabama, 4) UCLA, 5) Penn State, 6)Cal, 7) Iowa. honestly, i only really pay attention to the top four of those.
it's weird though because a lot of my association with teams comes from reading books. Miami='Cane Mutiny; 'Bama=Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer; and in baseball i like Oakland=Moneyball. all three of those teams i didn't really care about them until i read the books. meh... whatever. go read those three books. all three are good. and they're listed in ascending order of good-ness.
