NCAA Football 2009 cover athlete will be Glen Dorsey of LSU.
Madden NFL 2009 cover athelete will be Bob Sanders of the Indianpolis Colts.
Colt Brennan will go in the 2nd round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
the NCAA cover could also go to Darren Mcfadden, but i just think it's going to Glen Dorsey beause he's been the guy a lot of people have been talking about as a potential #1 overall pick all season long. the next guy in-line i think would be Matt Ryan, but he had too up-and-down of a season.
the Madden pick, i can't take credit for. devin, one of the kids i work with, actually thought of that one. but it makes so much sense because he's the best defender on one of the best teams in the league, and then a few days after devin said that, Bob Sanders won the Defensive MVP. i don't think it's going to be anyone on the patriots because of that whole "we hate the outside world because you all think we cheated so we're going to outscore the entire league on our own" attitude they seem to have.
the Colt Brennan pick on the other hand, i've been sitting on that one since about mid-season. i think the scouts will make up enough reasons to not draft him in the first round, and i'm sure i've talked about it before too, but colt reminds me so much of rich gannon, that it just makes sense for him to go to jon grudden. ultra-accurate passer, something of a scrambling QB, plus, he's got the side-arm action.
