i never do these, but i'm a little drunk and i've got some time to kill before this beer is gone....

1) What author do you own the most books by?
Off the top of my head, probably Chuck Palahniuk

2) What book do you own the most copies of?
I'm too poor to own multiple copies of a book, but I have bought at least three copies of The Elephant Vanishes and given them away

3) Did it bother you that both those questions ended with prepositions?
I don't even know what a fucking preposition is

4) What fictional character are you secretly in love with?
Dagny Taggart

5) What book have you read the most times in your life?
I normally don't read books multiple times, but possibly Fight Club

6) What was your favorite book when you were ten years old?
Bridge to Terribithia(?)

7) What is the worst book youve read in the past year?
I don't finish shitty books, but if I had to choose, it could be the first few sentences of Twilight or Porno just because it was a huge dissapointment. Panic hasn't shaped up very well either.

8) What is the best book youve read in the past year?
easily Atlas Shrugged

9) If you could force everyone to read one book, what would it be?
I want to say Atlas Shrugged, but i highly doubt everyone would fully understand it and enjoy it the same way i did. so, in that case, maybe Ultra Marathon Man just so people can begin to understand why i run

10) What book would you most like to see made into a movie?
the nerd in me says The Fall of Reach (it's a halo novel, i just know for a fucking fact it'd be such a bad ass michael bay movie)

11) What book would you least like to see made into a movie?
Porno -- fuck chuck palahniuk phoning it in....

12) Describe your weirdest dream involving a writer, book, or literary character.
after watching an interview with michael kim on the daily show, i had a dream that i was being smuggled into north korea....

13) What is the most lowbrow book youve read as an adult?
fucking angels & demons. FUCK. DAN. BROWN.

14) What is the most difficult book youve ever read?
either atlas shrugged or the fountainhead.

15) Shakespeare, Milton, or Chaucer?
haven't really read any of the three

16) Austen or Eliot?
neither of these two either

17) What are you currently reading?
the picture of dorian gray

18) What is the biggest or most embarrassing gap in your reading?
i dunno. i don't really give a shit what other people are reading so i don't care if i've missed anything.

19) What is your favorite novel?
oooh.... atlas shrugged? godfather? fight club?

20) Favorite plays?
don't read these either

21) Favorite short stories?
"On Seeing the 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning" by haruki murakami is #1 all time. but i also found that i liked miranada july too.

22) Works of non-fiction?
i really really liked "It Never Rains in Tiger Stadium" -- it was like "Jarhead" but college football. but there's also "Moneyball" and "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer" and "Committed"... too many good non-fiction!

23) Who is your favorite writer?
...idk? Chuck Palahniuk would've been my answer four years ago, but he's gotten a lot less good. Ayn Rand's early stuff is kinda difficult to read because it's just not as polished. Robert Heinlein is good unpolished, but sci-fi doesn't really do it for me. I've only read two Michael Lewis books, so it's hard to say i realy like him... I'll say it's Mark St. Amant
