2002-07-31 - 9:57 a.m. something has been on my mind the past few days to a week. when people say "the faster you go, the more gas you use" really confuses me. you see, that's not true at all. it's more dependent on your car's gearing. take my civic for example: it makes the 1-2 gear shift at about 27-28 mph. so, if i'm going say, 25 mph, i'd be at a higher rpm, than i would at say, 30 mph. hence forth, by my going 30 mph, i'd be using less fuel than at 25 mph. isn't science fun? |
