this is why i like sports...
you live and die with every single feakin' play.
on wednesday, the red sox won the world series. it was like when you find god in a religion. (yeah, fuck off all you people who are screaming blasphemy for that.) it felt like a great day, it's proof that good things can happen to those that believe.
but tonight, the UH game, i died. seeing UH take a 3-0 lead early in the first quarter on the first drive, seeing timmy hit his recievers, it felt like he might break the record tonight. but then everything started to fall apart. bad throws, dropped passes, good boise defense. UH's offense started to lose steam. then boise got the ball and then they ran all over UH's banged up defense. 8 rushing TDs... but i digress. with ever 2nd half INT i died again and again.
but even though UH lost--and boy did they lose, 3-69--there's still next week.
so yeah... despite the fact that you live and you die with every single play, there's always another day, another week, another season.
anyway, the reason why i think UH loses game late, is because they start pressing. this week, timmy chang started trying to force throws into really tight coverage to get those extra yards, last week chad owens muffed two punts because he was already looking downfield instead of catching the ball. that and the defense is really fucked up right now. they were already a question mark before the season started, and now they're probably even worse off.
