today was cool.
i woke up at like 645 and i was all like, "huh? what the hell? shit... i gotta get to school in 15 minutes." and then i hear:
"wake up ryan, come over here."
"huh? oh yeah... its my birthday..." and then "... dammit. im gonna be late."
but i wasnt late, and i got my new CD player! its a D-EJ611. the sony CD player with G-Protection and its round. its silver and cool too. i like it!
when i got to school, i drilled from like 7-maybe around 10. me and deyson and taka and reece are gonna perform for the japanese highschools that are gonna visit roosevelt on monday and thursday. we're also gonna be guards too. we get to stand by the doors where they enter and act like those guards that stand by the doors in uniform and shouldn't flinch. this is gonna be cool dude.
after i finished drilling, i went to go help the rangers. they were filling in the pot holes in the track all day. its a little bit better now. not quite as messed up as it once was. i was doing a lot more work than some of the other rangers. namely ching yee who spent the last hour or so walking around the track talking to reece and stomping on the sand or dirt saying she was flattenning it out. bull shit. she wasnt doing work. but i got $5 worth of mcdonalds food for my work. it was good. but im also sunburnt now...
then i came home, showered, and slept for half an hour. it was 300 when i woke up. so i called kim and told her to pick me up cause i wanted to go do something. oh yeah, i forgot to say, i didnt realize that im 16 till around 10. anyway... so we agreed to go see pay it forward at 730. so she came to pick me up at 7 with jenna in shotgun. and then she had problems rolling down the window. she locked the door. and then she finally gets the window down after seeking assitance from kim. then she hands me a spork saying "happy birthday ryan!"
then! on the way there! im amping out to "sugar" by System of a Down, so im all fucked up, and then jenna points out the license plate of a truck infront of us: "GO-RYAN" and i just spaz out from there! im fucking amping out like you wouldnt fucking believe. i just went nuts inside the car. it was so cool. the timing was just right and everything.
when we got to kahala it took us forever to find a parking spot. we had to follow some people to their car before we could get the spot. and then we went to the box office but kim and jenna wouldnt even let me pay for their tickets or mine. even if i wanted to use up two GMT's. damn them. so they payed for my ticket and their own. i feel bad. i made them spend $3.50 a piece on me.
pay it forward was a good movie. but i was a little dissapointed in one of the characters for something he did in the movie. i felt it was morally wrong. and i was all like "no! dude, dont do it! aww man... your gonna do it arent you? you suck dude. c'mon man... dont do it... aww... hes doing it." it kinda made me sad that he did do it. it was wrong. but the part that followed was pretty funny.
after the movie was done, we met anthony. we stood around and talked for a but until he heard that ms. lusk was there and about to come around the bend, so he bolted. he just took off like a bat outta hell. i mean, he RAN! and then we went to ala wai golf course.
when we got there, anthony took us on a hunt. we went looking for golf balls. we ended up with 18. anthony had 9, kim had 4, i had 5. so then we went back to the cars and tried to figure out where to go to hit the golf balls. so i said kakaako, we were gonna go there but it was locked at the time so he decided to just lead us to kewalo basin.
at kewalo basin, he set his bag up as a tee and started to hit the balls. but then i guess he knocked his bag and the balls fell out into the water so we all scrambled to salvage as many as we could. and jenna jumped into the water after to salvage more. she was able to save about 4 more. until she got hit by two tides that came in. she was all salty after that. no pun inteded. so i hit once and gave up after that cause i suck. and anthony got some good hits in there and then we went to zippys.
we ate at zippys and then left to go our sepparate ways. anthony dropped jenna off at home while kim took me home. it was a good day all in all i'd say. i got to drill, i got to do hard labor, i got a new CD player, and i went out and fulfilled some kleptomaniacism of my own. good day. peaches.
