okay, i appologize for not updating lately. not like any of you really enjoy reading my diary, its just that you know me and i'm one of the few people who do update rather regularly (except for these past few days-- my bad!). well, i have an interent curfew now, 10:30 and i need to do this, and finish up an email to a moanalua girl. so here goes nothing...
i forget what happened on specific dates so we'll just go by the order in which i remember things.
i saw "the fast and the furious." i remember making a comment to yusef about how that title almost sounds like a porno flick title. think about it...
anyway, it was a good movie for the reason i went to go see it: girls ang cars. i went to go see in hopes that maybe i'll learn a thing or two. i'm honestly trying to learn about cars, and it isn't quite working out too well. i'm learning slowly... too slowly. but the girls were hot. in one scene, two girls were kissing, so of course i had to make sure jenna saw that so i poked her and pointed at the screen. she punched me. and then later on, there was a scene with a wet t-shirt contest, so of course i had to poke her again. she punched me again. it was good! and then we went to jacks and ate. while there, me dennis and dae won sat conversing the movie. we all agreed that the '69 Charger was a bad ass car (900 hp?!? whats not to love?). i honestly doubt it's really like that, but still! and i came up with the theory that the charger was a statement by the director. if you notice, almost all the cars in the movie are asian. with two european cars (a ferrari and a jetta) and that one american car (the charger). now, in both scenes with a european car racing, they were both beaten. the ferrari was beaten pretty baddly and the jetta... that was just sad. now, i see this as the director was stating that european cars suck compared to asian cars. but, this is where the symbology grows... the directors use of one, and only one, american car is very poingant. the '69 charger is the directors way of saying that american cars are not what they used to be, but that the old muscle cars made with detroit steel are what cars should be. he's stating that a good ol' home made american car is what cars should be, and that these cars are the best ever made. he states this when he puts up the souped up Supra to it and the only way the Supra can even compete with it is when it uses its NOS. otherwise the charger is just busting it with a blown piston and what not. it wasn't even at its full potential and it was blowing the supra away. this is a statement about how americans are better than europeans and asians. ...but thats just what i think... and dennis too.
oh, and all throughout that night i was calling jenna "fatso." but i appologized to her later on that night.
what else happened in the few days that i havent updated?
oh, we just had a student gov. meeting tonight. it was rather good. went to zippy's. and we were seated in what i think is the meeting section for there were two other meetings being conducted in the same general area. i love zippy's where else can you have dinner for less than $4?
hmm...
oh, i've also started a correspondence with a girl from moanalua. its pretty cool. i've actually got a "pen pal" of sorts. and last night i created some profiles on the people i met:
sara- shes independent, but likes to feel loved. she also may suffer from a minor inferiority complex propelling her to challenge herself to do "manly" things (drill team) to convince herself that shes better than guys at what they do, hence building up her self-confidence.
lynni- she knows shes smart. shes knows shes very smart. this therefore gives her a minor supperiority complex. but, its not like the stuck up kind, more like the little bit where she'll look down on the really stupid fucks. she also seems to be very proud. but her pride is easily shaken by negative comments.
kim k.- she seems to be a fairly happy girl who does not enjoy sadness or the like. she likes rock 'n roll/ more specifically alternative (from what i've noticed gathered from her comments), alluding to a slightly darker side headed more towards past "bad" experiences. but, i believe she has smothered them deep into the recess of her sub-consciousness.
but, these are just the assumptions of a teenager who has no life and is desparetly horny.
i should stop watching porno. not that i watch it much at all. but, my friend who shall remain nameless agrees with me that pornography has an adverse affect on our perception of the real world. it affects our sub-conscious by telling us that every chick in the world is a nymph who wants to have sex with any guy they talk to in a semi-secluded area. this issue was addressed in an episode of friends. the exact same adverse affects were portrayed on the two characters too. if you dont believe me, watch porno-- not even that much-- and you'll begin to be affected by it.
