so, at work, we're down four people since the whole cash-fiasco started. three are no longer working for us and today was irene's last day because she found a better job at a bank. plus we've got people going on vacation so... yeah. not too great of a time.
i ended up working seven hours today instead of the four i was scheduled because i need the money. i also found a book for me to read. "The Mole People" it's about the communites of homeless people who live under the streets and in the tunnels of new york city. it's kind of interesting so far because it's really about the people and not about the fact that they live under the city. it talks about who they are, how they came to live there and why they still live there. it's investigative journalism just like in "Rammer Jammer Yellowhammer" but different. i like stories about people...
fucking hell... i had washington over louisville, and texas tech over w. virginia. both louisville and w. virigina won today. at least i think i got arizona over oklahoma st. and i know i had illinois over wis-mil. but fuck... that's two games i got wrong, when everyone had louisville over washington too. dagnammit.
work is kind of weird because i think silvia likes me. so in an effort to dissuade her from it because it could only lead to tension, i try to make myself seem like a chauvanistic pig. i don't know if it's working because the nice girls always like the assholes... or so it seems. that doesn't mean that asshole girls don't like asshole guys though... ahem... randi.
my tummy hurts. i think i need to put food in it.
and i still don't know the results of hawaii's pro day. hopefully it'll be in the advertiser. i'm freakin' dying to know if elimimian improved his 40-time dramatically enough to get back into the first day. he was my first day lock until he ran that 4.68... now hawaii's first day draft pick rest solely on chad owens... and that's a shaky prospect because of his size. at 5'7" he'll be one of the shortest players in the NFL... kinda worrisome.
